What is Hand Surgery?

Hand surgery is a general term that encompasses a number of highly specialized surgical procedures that help restore the function of wrists, forearms, and hands after injury or disease. Hand surgery can also be performed to correct congenital abnormalities (i.e., conditions that patients were born with). This type of specialized care can also treat diseases that cause pain and limit strength, function, and flexibility of the wrist and hand. Our hand surgeons have mastery of plastic, orthopedic, and reconstructive surgery techniques, allowing us to offer comprehensive solutions for hand surgery at our Central Texas centers. Utilizing both open and endoscopic procedures, we are able to offer a wide range of treatment solutions.
